Since 1950, the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program has offered intensive workshops in dance, film, music, theatre, visual arts and writing to students of all ages and abilities including families. Our 205-acre campus in the San Jacinto Mountains of Southern California is a convenient 2.5 hour drive from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. Students enroll in programs according to age. Actors will experience what it is like to be on a working set. Each actor will only have 24 hours to prepare a specially written role and block scenes before shooting a short film. Actors will receive one-on-one direction. The camp includes voice, comedy and dance workshops. When the camp is wrapped with a premiere screening and each actor will receive a copy of the film. This powerful camp is designed to create strong actors and compassionate leaders.
