Teens' summer trips take an exotic turn
May 3, 2001
"When I was a kid, a trip to Europe was a big deal," adds Nancy
Diamond, President of KidsCamps.com, an Internet-based directory of summer opportunities.
But not all youngsters clutching passports this summer will be crediting well-heeled parents or grandparents. KidsCamps.com links to PayForCamp.com, a new consumer line of credit that promises a "quick, easy way to give your children the experience of camp" and other programs --- albeit at interest rates that range from 12.99% to 27.99%.
KidsCamps.com links to about 75 companies selling "teen tours and adventure."
