Acadia Institute of Oceanography

AIO introduces young people to the exciting world of marine science through a unique hands-on curriculum that combines biological, physical and chemical oceanography with field, classroom, offshore and laboratory work. The College of the Atlantic, in Bar Harbor, Maine, offers $10,000/year scholarships to any AIO student who is accepted into their program with a recommendation from one of our directors. At the heart of the AIO program is an experienced and qualified core of educators.

Fernwood Cove

Fernwood Cove is an all girls, traditional, residential camp located in Harrison, Maine. Fernwood Cove offers spirit, philosophy and a traditional camp experience, in two separate 3 1/2 week sessions. Fernwood Cove girls develop long-lasting friendships and an appreciation of the outdoors while experiencing quality, skill-based activity instruction. Camp Timanous

Timanous, located on a beautiful lake in southern Maine, was founded in 1917 by Dr. Luther Gulick. The Suitor family has directed the camp since 1942, the present generation since 1982. 93% of the 50 counseling staff are former campers, averaging over 10 years at Timanous. 25 states and 6 foreign countries were represented in 2008. A positive approach to discipline and freedom within structure promise improved skills in physical activities and poise and understanding in social relationships.

Wyonegonic Camps
