Areteem Math Zoom Summer Camps are designed for STEM-oriented students. The camp offers an opportunity for bright and mathematically gifted students in 6th to 12th grades to expand their mathematical horizons, improve problem-solving skills, explore areas in advanced mathematics, and make friends with talented students from the US and around the world. Day and residential options are available for students giving them the flexibility to choose an option best for their family. Residential students get to experience living on a college campus and get a sneak peek of what it is like to attend college. All while under the watchful eye of Areteem instructors and counselors!
The rigorous academic curriculum at Areteem camps are a great way to prepare for math competitions such as AMC 8, AMC 10+12, AIME, USA(J)MO, MATHCOUNTS, ZIML, and more. By reaching their highest potential and achieving outstanding performance on one or more of these contests, students demonstrate their passion and competency to top college admission officers. All summer camp programs feature problem solving in algebra, geometry, counting & probability, and number theory. Areteem camps have a rich history of helping students succeed in math contests and get into top colleges. Areteem alumni have gone on to compete (and succeed) in the International Math Olympiad (IMO) as part of the US National Team as well as teams internationally. Alumni have a great track record of getting into top STEM colleges such as MIT, Harvard, UC Berkeley, Stanford, plus many more!
Communication and leadership development is also stressed in all of Areteem's programs. The curriculum for our programs encourages students' participation and helps to improve skills in both communication and leadership. Confidence shines when students talk about the subjects they enjoy with peers who share the same interests. Areteem encourages students to show their passion to their peers and school friends; telling them the fun they have with playing mathematical wisdom games and solving math problems. Additionally, after class and evening activities give students a chance to connect with their peers, playing sports and other games together, practicing their communication skills with speeches and debates, and working together on challenging problems in study hall. Residential students also get two field trips to local attractions, further building a sense of community while having fun. Most students leave the camp with new lifelong friends!
