Computer camp is much more than just sitting at a PC and playing video games. These high-tech camps teach children who are interested in the workings of a computer how to create video games, iPhone and iPad apps, programming languages, website design and coding, animation, robotic technology and much more. Computer camps can be either residential multi-week sessions or they can be day camps that might be held at a local community college. The residential camps often include other activities such as sports and arts and crafts. There is usually some form of project that the camper is working toward completing during their camp session.
What to Ask the Camp Director: Going to computer camp means your child will be working on computers. Before registering your child, inquire about the teacher to student ratio and ensure that there is one computer for each child.

Levels of Expertise: Computer summer camps can accommodate just about any level of expertise. From beginner to advanced, campers will be instructed by top level instructors so that there is always something more for them to learn.
