A Mennonite camp is a Christian camp specifically dedicated to people of the Mennonite faith. In this type of camp, participants are able to enjoy the serenity of an outdoor setting while renewing their faith in God through a series of Christian activities that include Bible sharing, group discussion, Christian seminars, praise singing and worship, among many others. Apart from the religious programs, there are also outdoor activities for campers, such as hiking, bird watching, canoeing and more.
Equipment to Bring: Like most outdoor camps, you will need to bring camping equipment for Mennonite camps. Tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, cooking pots and pans, cooler, and so on are some examples of camping gear. Check first with the camp personnel as to what specific pieces of camping equipment to bring.
What to Pack: For a camper's personal supplies, pack sufficient clothing, toiletries and a first aid kit. Don't forget insect repellent and sunscreen with high SPF. It would also be a great idea to pack items for leisure time like books or board games.
Weather Considerations: Since this is an outdoor activity, you would want to ensure that the weather is good when you go to this camp. Mennonite summer camps are the best bet.
